I arrived here last night. It was about a half hour drive from Rizal Beach.
Bacon Beach Resort and Dive Center has 8 rooms as well as a restaurant (for guests). It's a modern hotel designed with a combination of local products such as bamboo and abaca, and items imported from Spain.
A couple of pictures of the beach...
Susie (left), manages the resort and does a great job. Up until now she has also been the cook. They've hired a chef for next season which will free up alot of her time...Susie is a fantastic cook so he or she will have alot to live up to.
There are about 8 employees here and as with Rizal Beach, I'm going to conduct a 2-day customer service workshop. I am told the sunrise here is amazing, so since I'll be here over the weekend, I'll have to drag myself out of bed early one morning to witness it.
Here's our makeshift classroom in the resort's lobby area. I was the only guest which made it easy.
Day 1 of training - We cover the Basics, Effective Communication, Relationship Building and Face-Face Contacts. We're a bit ahead of schedule and covered alot of material, so after talking with Susie, we agree to spend Monday morning going over the rest of the material. That will give us the afternoon to do some role-play/practice exercises. Most of the students so far have been very shy, but I find one volunteer who's happy to role play with me. I found this to be the most effective way to show them how to apply the training material.
Tommorow Ron and I are scheduled to go on an eco-tour daytrip - I'm really looking forward to seeing more of the countryside..
